From Prompts to Prototypes

The barrier between a great idea and a functional prototype has never been thinner. We are entering the era of "Vibe Coding", the modern evolution of app development where the developer relies on AI to generate, refine, and debug code through natural language.

On 19 June 2026, the Swiss AI Summit invites you to master this new frontier in our latest workshop together with experts from OST - Ostschweizer Fachhochschule.

What exactly is Vibe Coding?

Instead of writing explicit, line-by-line syntax, a "vibe coder" describes what they want the software to do (the "vibe”) and the AI handles the implementation. In short: you can now create apps and websites simply by chatting with AI. This makes software creation more accessible, faster, and a significantly cheaper alternative for prototypes and simpler projects.

From Prompt to Prototype: Keep Your Vibes Aligned and Focused

The best vibe coding tools today, such as Cursor, Windsurf, v0 by Vercel, Lovable, Replit, and Bolt, can take a single prompt and transform it into a solid first draft of an app. However, moving fast shouldn't mean losing control.

This hands-on workshop moves beyond ad-hoc prompting. You will learn a structured approach to using tools like Base 44, Tempo Labs, and Claude to rapidly transform concepts into working digital prototypes while maintaining clarity, direction, and "vibe" alignment.

Date: 19 June 2026

Time: 16:00-19:00

Location: Stockerstrasse 33, 8002 Zurich, Headsquarter

Why Attend?

Whether you're looking to launch a Startup MVP, accelerate UI/UX Prototyping, or dominate your next Hackathon, this session is for you. You will:

  • Build in Real-Time: Gain hands-on experience turning ideas into working prototypes.
  • Master the Stack: Learn how to build software faster using AI tools and discover practical prompting strategies for coding tasks.
  • Stay in Control: Understand how to stay in control of AI-assisted development.
  • Leave with an App: Walk away with a working prototype you built yourself.

This is a highly interactive, fast-paced building session. We provide step-by-step guidance on effective prompting techniques and real-world examples of what works and what fails.

Workshop Agenda

The core of this session is understanding the critical gap between a working demo and a production system. Through hands-on exercises, we move beyond simple generation into real-world engineering.

Phase 1 | Setup: Development Environments & DevContainers

We begin by introducing a standardized development setup using devcontainers.

Phase 2 | Exercise 1: The Vague Prompt

We start with a minimal, underspecified prompt to generate an AI solution.

Phase 3 | Exercise 2: Plan First, Then Prompt

Lastly, we shift gears by writing a structured plan before using AI for implementation.

Who is this for?

  • AI practitioners and builders
  • Team leaders, Product managers with technical exposure
  • Students and early-career engineers
  • Software engineers and developers
  • Anyone interested in building software with AI tools / tinkerers
