Eva Selamlar-Leuthold has built a career at the high-stakes intersection of law, business, and technology, but her vision for the future of Artificial Intelligence extends far beyond corporate efficiency. As a newly appointed Ambassador for the Swiss AI Summit she is championing a proactive approach to AI adoption that prioritizes global impact and interdisciplinary cooperation.

A Legacy of Innovation and Change

Eva’s professional journey is defined by her ability to navigate complex “build and change” projects. She served as Head of the Swiss Financial Innovation Desk (FIND) at the State Secretariat for International Finance (SIF), a temporary pilot mandated by the Swiss Federal Council. In this role, she led the strategic development and operational execution of a public innovation hub designed to strengthen the Swiss financial sector through collaboration with the deep-tech ecosystem and international networks.

Today, she continues this work as Co-President of the Swiss Financial Innovation Lab and Co-CEO of Eurospider, where she leads the KYC Spider RegTech business. Managing an AI-powered SaaS platform for over 300 financial intermediaries, she applies her legal and IT expertise to find practical, tech-driven solutions for the industry.

AI as Humanity’s Greatest Ally

For Eva, the promise of AI lies in its potential to address the most pressing challenges of our time.

"AI is the greatest ally humanity has ever had," Eva explains. "But its greatest promise lies not in making corporations more efficient—it lies in tackling the defining challenges of our generation: climate change, global health, financial education, and independence."

As an ambassador, she leverages her experience in holistic stakeholder management to bring together policymakers, innovators, and civil society. Her goal is to ensure that AI's power is directed toward these critical areas, moving the needle on issues that will define the quality of life for decades to come.

Inspiring the Next Generation

Eva’s commitment to the future is perhaps most visible in her advocacy for STEM education. As the founder of the PEPPERMINTAS initiative, she works to inspire girls and their parents to take an interest in science and technology. By designing coding and AI workshops, she is actively preparing the next generation to lead in a tech-driven world.

Her work has not gone unnoticed; she was recognized as one of the "10 Women in Tech in Switzerland to Follow in 2024". Whether she is climbing Kilimanjaro or navigating the complexities of AI regulation, Eva is driven by a singular belief: "We owe the next generation more than better processes."

Through her involvement at the Swiss AI Summit and beyond, Eva Selamlar-Leuthold is ensuring that Switzerland remains at the forefront of responsible, impactful innovation.
