TERMS & CONDITIONS
Welcome to the Swiss AI Summit (“SWAIS”, “we”, “us”, “our”)! We are delighted to have you join our platform where we organize activates (e.g., events, workshops, roundtables, conferences or any similar organizations irrespective of its format) (“Event”) in the file of AI or other similar technologies. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all attendees, we have established a set of terms and conditions (“Terms”). These Terms outline the guidelines and rules for attending and participating in the Event or to any other Activity organized by and together with SWAIS. By attending the Swiss AI Summit or any other activity organized by SWAIS you agree to adhere to these Terms.

General Terms
Our Events aim at bringing together a diverse and global audience of technology entrepreneurs, investors, startups, established companies, media organizations and thought leaders through a number of initiatives and activities.
1. WHEN YOU ATTEND OUR EVENTS
1.1. Admission and Right of Refusal
Participation in SWAIS events is generally limited to individuals aged 18 years or older.
SWAIS reserves the unrestricted right, at its sole discretion, to refuse admission, deny access, or remove any individual from any event at any time, without stating reasons and without any obligation to provide compensation or refund, subject only to mandatory provisions of applicable Swiss law.
1.2. Tickets and Payments
Tickets grant access exclusively to the specific event indicated.
All ticket purchases are final and non-refundable, except where required by mandatory law or in cases where SWAIS cancels an event without providing a reasonable substitute.
In the event of postponement, tickets shall remain valid for the rescheduled event date.
1.3. Event Changes
SWAIS reserves the right to modify, substitute, postpone, relocate, or cancel any aspect of an event, including but not limited to speakers, schedule, format, venue, or content, at any time.
SWAIS shall not be liable for any costs incurred by participants in connection with such changes, including travel, accommodation, or other expenses.
1.4. Code of Conduct and Enforcement
All participants are required to behave in a professional, respectful, and lawful manner at all times.
Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:
• Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination of any kind
• Disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behavior
• Unauthorized commercial activities or solicitation
• Violation of applicable laws or regulations
• Un respectful behavior
SWAIS reserves the absolute right to take any measures it deems appropriate in response to misconduct, including immediate removal from the event, revocation of access credentials, and exclusion from future events, without refund or compensation.
1.5. Media, Recording, and Image Rights
SWAIS may record, photograph, and otherwise document events.
By attending, participants grant SWAIS a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, edit, publish, and distribute their image, voice, name, and likeness in any media for promotional, editorial, and commercial purposes related to SWAIS. This grant includes, but is not limited to, the right to edit the media, the right to use the media (alone or together with other information), and the right to allow others to use or distribute the media.
Any objection must be submitted in writing prior to the event. SWAIS shall use reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests but does not guarantee full exclusion.
Unauthorized recording, streaming, or reproduction by participants is strictly prohibited without prior written consent.
1.6. Volunteering
You may apply to be a volunteer at our Event.
There is no guarantee that applicants wishing to volunteer at any of the Event will be selected and the selection of volunteers is at our sole discretion (“Volunteer”). We also reserve the right to withdraw and/or change our mind without any explanation about the participation of any Volunteer to any of our Event.
Without limiting their other obligations under these Terms, Volunteers are subject to the following rules governing their relationship with us:
• Volunteers will not receive compensation for travel or accommodation associated with the Event
• Volunteers who violate any of these Terms, behave in a manner that could be disruptive to Event or any other attendee, Volunteer, speaker and/ or partner, consume alcohol and/or illegal substances before or while on duty, or fail to show up for an assigned shift may be stripped of their credentials, denied access to the Event, and may be subject to removal from the Event grounds;
• Volunteers acknowledge they may be photographed or recorded in accordance with the section “Photography, audio and video recording”; and
• Volunteers who may be handling confidential information agree to handle such information in the strictest confidence and abide by the rules governing its use as provided for in the Privacy Policy.
If you have been selected to be a Volunteer at an Event but have already bought a ticket, you are not eligible for a refund or reimbursement under any circumstances.
2. WHEN YOU ARE A COMMUNITY MEMBER
2.1. Membership Terms
Membership provides access to certain benefits, events, and services as defined by SWAIS from time to time. SWAIS reserves the right to choose & refuse attendance to certain community events without any explanation.
Memberships renew automatically unless cancelled in accordance with applicable procedures.
SWAIS reserves the right to modify membership benefits at any time.
2.2. Termination
SWAIS may suspend or terminate any membership at its sole discretion, with immediate effect, without stating reasons and without liability, subject only to mandatory legal provisions.
2.3. Member Conduct
Members must conduct themselves in a professional and lawful manner when interacting with other members or within any SWAIS environment.
SWAIS shall not be responsible for interactions, communications, or arrangements between members.
3. IF YOU PURCHASE OUR MAGAZINE
3.1. Purchase and Access
The purchase of any SWAIS magazine or publication grants access solely to the specific product purchased.
All purchases are final and non-refundable, except where required by law.
3.2. Intellectual Property
All content published in SWAIS magazines is protected by intellectual property laws and remains the property of SWAIS or its licensors.
Any reproduction, distribution, or commercial use without prior written consent is strictly prohibited.
3.3. Contributions
By submitting content, contributors grant SWAIS a worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free license to use, edit, publish, and distribute such content in any format.
SWAIS retains full editorial discretion and is under no obligation to publish any submission.
4. REGARDING OUR PODCASTS AND MEDIA PRODUCTIONS
4.1 Consent to Recording
SWAIS may record podcasts, interviews, and other media content during or in connection with its activities.
By participating, you expressly consent to such recording and subsequent use.
4.2 Ownership and Rights
All rights, title, and interest in any podcast or media production created by SWAIS shall remain exclusively with SWAIS.
Participants grant SWAIS a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use their contributions, voice, image, and likeness in any media format.
4.3 Restrictions
No participant or third party may record, reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any SWAIS media content without prior written authorization.
5. DIGITAL PLATFORM
SWAIS may provide access to third-party digital platforms for networking and communication.
Such platforms are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind.
Users are solely responsible for their profiles, content, and interactions.
SWAIS disclaims any liability arising from the use of such platforms.
6. LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by Swiss law:
• SWAIS shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profit, business, or opportunity
• SWAIS’s total liability shall be limited to the amount paid by the participant for the relevant service or event
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion is not permitted under applicable law, including in cases of gross negligence or unlawful intent.
7. DISCALIMER
SWAIS (INCLUDING OUR AFFILIATES, PARENT UNDERTAKINGS, SUBSIDIARIES, AND THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, LEGAL REPRESENTATIVES AND SUB-CONTRACTORS, AND OUR RELATED COMPANIES) SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU WHETHER, IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING FOR NEGLIGENCE), MISREPRESENTATION, RESTITUTION OR OTHERWISE FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS; LOSS OF SALES OR BUSINESS; LOSS OF AGREEMENTS OR CONTRACTS; LOSS OF ANTICIPATED SAVINGS; LOSS OF INCOME; LOSS OF OPPORTUNITY; LOSS OF OR DAMAGE TO GOODWILL; LOSS OF USE OR CORRUPTION OF SOFTWARE, DATA OR INFORMATION; AND/OR SIMILAR LOSSES OR PURE ECONOMIC LOSS, OR FOR ANY INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS, COSTS, DAMAGES, CHARGES OR EXPENSES HOWEVER ARISING UNDER OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE PERFORMANCE OR CONTEMPLATED PERFORMANCE OF THE TERMS, EVEN IF WE HAD BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SAME IN ADVANCE; AND
(B) SUBJECT TO PARAGRAPH (C) (BELOW), OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), MISREPRESENTATION, RESTITUTION OR OTHERWISE, ARISING UNDER OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE PERFORMANCE OR CONTEMPLATED PERFORMANCE OF THE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO US FOR YOUR TICKET TO PARTICIPATE AND ACCESS THE EVENT, AFTER THE PAYMENT OF ANY PROCESSING FEES OR BANK CHARGES APPLICABLE.
(C) NOTHING IN THESE TERMS PURPORTS TO EXCLUDE OR LIMIT LIABILITY FOR ANY FRAUDULENT STATEMENT OR ACT OR IN RESPECT OF ANY LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.
SWAIS DOES NOT MAKE ANY WARRANTY AS TO THE EVENT IN GENERAL AND IN PARTICULAR IN RELATION TO (I) THE PRESENCE OR ABSENCE OR LOCATION OF ANY OTHER SPEAKER, SPONSOR/EXHIBITOR OR POTENTIAL SPEAKER AND SPONSOR/EXHIBITOR; OR (II) THE BENEFIT OR OUTCOME (COMMERCIAL OR OTHERWISE) THAT YOU MAY ACHIEVE AS A RESULT OF ATTENDING OR SPONSORING THE EVENT. IN PARTICULAR, NOTE THAT:
• (A) PERSONAL ARRANGEMENTS AND EXPENDITURES, INCLUDING TRAVEL, ACCOMMODATION, HOSPITALITY AND OTHER COSTS AND EXPENSES INCURRED BY YOU RELATING TO THE EVENT WHICH HAVE BEEN ARRANGED BY YOU ARE AT YOUR OWN RISK, AND WE SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY WASTED OR UNRECOVERABLE COSTS OR EXPENDITURE IN RELATION TO SUCH PERSONAL ARRANGEMENTS, EVEN IF CAUSED AS A RESULT OF THE CANCELLATION, RESCHEDULING OR ALTERATION OF AN EVENT;
• (B) WE SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY LOSS OF ENJOYMENT OR AMENITY, INCLUDING WHERE AN EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED, RESCHEDULED OR ALTERED; AND
• (C) WE SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE TO YOU (AND YOU WILL NOT BE ENTITLED TO ANY REFUND) IF ADMISSION TO A VENUE OR EVENT IS REFUSED OR REVOKED AT ANY TIME AS A RESULT OF YOUR BREACH OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OR THE VENUE’S RULES AND REGULATIONS.
WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACTIONS OR FAILURES OF ANY VENUE, PERFORMER OR OTHER EVENT PARTNERS. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY SUFFERED BY YOU OR YOUR GUESTS ARISING OUT OF ATTENDANCE AT THE EVENT. NEITHER SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE SUSTAINED TO YOUR PROPERTY OR BELONGINGS, OR THOSE OF ANY MEMBER OF YOUR PARTY, ATTENDING OUR EVENT.
8. FORCE MAJEURE
SWAIS shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, governmental measures, or disruptions.
9. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
This Agreement is governed by Swiss law, excluding the provisions of conflict of laws. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Zurich.
10. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
We reserve the right to change these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be immediately posted on the website, and you will be deemed to have been accepted by you. Reason why we recommend that you check our website regularly to keep up to date: www.swissaisummit.com
