Q&A with Wanja Bont

Could you briefly introduce PvL Partners — its mission and role?

PvL Partners is a Zurich-based management consulting boutique founded in 2012 that specializes in organizational development. With a team of over 20+ entrepreneurial and seasoned consultants, our mission is to help clients discover and push their boundaries by architecting organizations that are both effective and human.

We collaborate with clients to clarify their aspirations, determine what's needed to shape their future, and then make it happen—blending strategy, structure, and culture into tangible impact.

What tools and approaches does PvL Partners provide to support the shift from AI ambition to organization-wide transformation?

We support organizations in treating AI as a strategic capability, not a tech initiative only. Our holistic and hands-on approach connects strategy, structure and culture to embed AI into the very fabric of the organization:

  • Strategy: We help clients build a clear and actionable AI strategy that aligns initiatives with business goals and creates a roadmap for sustainable, targeted impact. We work with them to clarify ambition, set direction, and craft narratives that mobilize the organization – ensuring AI moves beyond experiments into scalable outcomes.
  • Structure: We help clients design operating models that make AI a true lever for business transformation, not just an add-on. True impact comes when AI enhances or changes the organization’s value proposition and delivers measurable business impact across use cases and functions. We support clients in defining how teams, roles, responsibilities, and governance are structured to consistently drive value from AI. Scaling requires organizational readiness – with the right roles, governance, data maturity, operating model, and skills in place.
  • Culture: We help clients build an AI-ready culture that fosters trust, transparency, and a shared belief in the value of AI. People and culture are make-or-break; mindsets, behaviors, and capabilities must evolve alongside technology. We co-create experiences that shift ways of working and embed new expectations, making AI adoption a lived reality in daily work.

What sets PvL Partners’ way of working apart for organizations trying to move AI from pilot to scale?

We are not distant advisors that only develop concepts and move on. We are partners that work side-by-side with our clients to turn their ambition into reality. AI transformation is never “one size fits all”: each organization has its own root causes, from gaps in data maturity to unclear decision rights or cultural resistance. We dive into those realities, address the blockers head-on and co-design tailored solutions that fit.

  1. We tailor our approach to each client, combining strategy, structure and culture in ways that reflect their specific context and challenges.
  2. We focus on root causes such as data quality, process readiness, data governance and leadership behaviors — to ensure scaling AI is sustainable, not superficial.
  3. We catalyze business innovation by partnering with leaders and teams to reimagine processes, structures, and value creation – embedding AI into the core of products, services, and operating models.
  4. We support adoption across the organization, ensuring leaders and teams have the right mindset, skills, and confidence to integrate AI into daily decisions and ways of working.
  5. We work in close collaboration, blending into organizations and taking shared accountability for outcomes.

Our approach is hands-on, practical and human-centered, ensuring that AI becomes a transformative capability rather than just a series of pilots.

How does PvL Partners’ experience strengthen organizations in managing the AI transformation?

AI fundamentally reshapes how companies operate, how they create value, even how they take decisions. To manage this impact, we help clients put the right foundations in place. From clarifying data strategies and governance to designing operating models and driving adoption. We make sure AI is not a bolt-on, but a capability embedded in strategy, structure and culture.

Examples include:

  • Scaling GenAI use cases and adoption: We led a value chain analysis across functions to identify high-impact GenAI opportunities, established governance and steering mechanisms, and provided hands-on support for use case implementation – embedding GenAI into core business processes and generating ROI.
  • Building a Data Governance framework and practice: We designed and operationalized a governance model covering data domains, management approach, roles, and issue-management processes. We activated Data Owners and Stewards through enablement and upskilling, while defining and implementing a comprehensive data quality framework.
  • Operating Model Design for Innovation & Technology Unit: We designed a new target operating model based on service architecture principles, tailored for innovation and technology teams. We guided the transition through activation workshops and change-management support, ensuring a smooth shift to the new TOM.
  • Rolling out a data culture program: We crafted and executed an activation journey, including a training series such as the Leadership Data Camp, alongside enablement for leadership teams, with a strong emphasis on fostering data proficiency and embedding data fluency into the culture.

This combination of data, structure, and culture activation enables organizations to turn AI ambition into organization-wide impact.
