Dr. Steve Blanchet is the Head of Group Technology Strategy & Innovation at Pictet, where he orchestrates the institution's innovation agenda, global technology strategy, and the Group’s dedicated AI Centre of Excellence. Since joining Pictet in 2021, Steve has focused on deploying transformative, high-conviction tech architectures and accelerating responsible artificial intelligence within wealth and asset management.

Steve's career bridges deep analytical science with international enterprise strategy. He began his professional path as a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Co, operating out of both the Geneva and Washington D.C. offices. Following his tenure at McKinsey, he joined the major US banking institution Capital One as Head of Digital Strategy, where he spearheaded the foundational architecture of the bank’s machine learning infrastructure, digital payments, and mobile-first ecosystem. Steve holds a Master of Science in Physics from EPFL and a PhD in Theoretical Physics from the Technical University of Munich.
