Born and raised in Herzliya, Israel, Shira Kaplan is the Founder and CEO of Cyverse AG, a premier cybersecurity solutions firm she established in Zurich in 2016 with the vision of connecting Europe to Israel’s booming cyber ecosystem. Shira began her elite technical training as an analyst and cybersecurity expert within the Israeli Defense Forces' renowned Unit 8200 Intelligence division (2002-2004). Based in Switzerland for over a decade, she has held pivotal leadership positions across various multinational corporations, including Teva Pharmaceuticals and Bank Julius Baer.

Shira is a globally recognized technology and business pioneer, named a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, and featured in Globes’ 40 Under 40 and Bilanz’s Top 100 Digital Shapers. A highly accomplished academic, she is a Harvard University alumna (B.A., 2004-2008), where she was honored as a Shelby Davis Scholar, and holds an MBA from the University of St. Gallen HSG (2012-2014), where she won the St. Gallen Women in Business Award. Her lifelong dedication to policy, technology, and economic innovation is further underscored by prestigious fellowships with the Milken Institute and the Goldman Foundation.

Deeply committed to leadership and ecosystem building, Shira serves as an Advisory Board Member at the Geneva School of Economics and Management (GSEM), an active Board Member at the Weizmann Young European Network (WYEN), and a mentor at the 8200 Woman2Woman program. She is the mother of three Montessori-trained, trilingual children.
