Carmen Walker Späh is currently the District President and, since May 2015, a member of the Cantonal Council and Director of Economic Affairs for the Canton of Zurich. Prior to that, the FDP politician served as a member of the Cantonal Council for 13 years and as a member of the Constitutional Assembly for 5 years.

Carmen Walker Späh was born in Altdorf (UR) in 1958 and studied law at the University of Zurich. After completing her studies, she held management positions, including roles in the City of Winterthur’s Department of Public Works. From 2000 to 2015, she ran her own law firm specializing in public and private construction law. Carmen Walker Späh is married and has three adult sons.
